nah u3 smart drives suck. i've got one but if you forget your password or if someone finds it, they can erase the data.

Not only that, they do not work on leopard. I have been tryin to get my jump drive, that i have my backup of my music on to this mack, and i haven't had any luck. its not even showing up in the finder, but my lexar drive shows p fine.

and you can't get rid of the second one, what ever you do.

yes you can. there's a setting in the launchpad that says "uninstall u3 software, witch will uninstall it from the u3 smart drive so you only have the removable disk bit.

I have a thumb drive like that and it took me an hour to get rid of the darn crap that I didn't want!

u3 seriously blows considering that it is more garbage that only a really bord person would use. Not only that, but yes Leopard does not see them. just uninstall it. the drive itself is great.

I had a u3-enabled thumb drive and every time I inserted it some installer thingy popped up or something. The only thing I like about u3-enabled thumb drives is that you can run programs off of it. Can't you run programs off of a regular one?
